McCowan family sweep the board at St Boswells Show

The supreme of the show, judged by Mr and Mrs Peter Elliot, went to the hunter champion, Tredragon, an eight year old gelding by Tower Of Magic, owned and ridden by Gillian McCowan.

Reserve supreme was Martha McCowan’s Welsh mare, Rosedale Just Josie, who stood overall in the Ridden Pony Section, and was ridden by Gillian’s granddaughter, Jessica.

Stuart Campbell from Leicestershire judged the Ridden Hunters and his reserve was the winner of the four and five year old class, Remember Rossmore.

Tommy Brash placed the In Hand Hunters and chose the winner of the foal class as his Champion, a home bred filly by Bordergrove Hawaii out of Broadstone Love Affair.

Reserve was Vicky Laub’s, Royal Scott.

Clive Storey on the prolific winner, Masquerade, was champion in the Coloured classes.

Overall in the Pony section was the Welsh A mare, Stonedge Sweetpea, owned by Sally Athey from Bonchester Bridge.

Amy Ralston took the triclour in the working hunter pony classes aboard Curravordy Builders Blue with Tina Edgar’s Ardagh Bobby in reserve.

Katy McDonald on Tinkerbell took the ridden in the Veteran classes and the in hand class went to Minsterley Katrin

The Retrained Racehorse Challenge, went to Sarah Fenwick’s My Humbel Bee while Diane Payne on Dotty’s Brother headed the Retrained Racehorses Show class, which is a qualifier for the Royal Highland Show.

Champion in the Sheep Section went to a pair of Suffolk gimmers from Smailhom Mains, with a pair of Cross Bred gimmers from Philiphaugh in reserve.

The winner of the young handler's was Ryan Jamieson with Lewis Runciman runner up - both of them qualify for the Regional Championships, which are held at Peebles show.

Champion in the Dog Show was the terrier, Smurf, shown by Sarah Finlayson.
