A spokesman for the Police Scotland told the Border Telegraph: "We recieved a report that a van flipped on its side about one mile from the junction near Heriot.
"The male driver involved wasn’t injured but shaken. He was later taken to Borders General Hospital for assessment."
In a statement via Twitter at 9.32am, First Scotland, who provide bus services across the Borders said: "The A7 is currently closed to large vehicles due to road traffic incident and van in the middle of the road, expect delays."
