A SELKIRK road has closed this afternoon (Friday, February 3) over fears the road may collapse.
Scottish Borders Council have announced that Buccleuch Road in the town has closed.
A spokesman for SBC told the Border Telegraph: "Unfortunately Buccleuch Road in Selkirk has had to be closed due to the risk of the road collapsing following unauthorised works on an adjacent site.
"Yarrow Terrace has been re-opened under traffic lights to allow two-way traffic.
"The Buccleuch Road closure will remain in place until works are carried out to make the road safe."
