PRIMARY 7 Pupils from Melrose Primary have raised £49 for the Cauldshields Ward at the Borders General Hospital.
In December the class went carol singing in the Market Square.
And on Monday all 45 children walked to the BGH to present a cheque to staff.
Class teacher Jill Robertson said: “In December Primary 7 pupils were supposed to be going to the ward to sing Christmas Carols but sadly it was cancelled at the last moment due to illness on the ward.
"The pupils were very disappointed and as a last minute decision we decided to go up into the Square at Melrose and sing our Christmas Carols there instead, and ask for people to donate money for the Cauldshields ward.”
