Woman driver accused of causing death of her passenger
A 38-year-old woman has appeared in private at Jedburgh Sheriff Court accused of causing the death of her passenger by careless driving.
Michelle Bennett, 47, from Berwick-upon-Tweed died in an accident on the Kelso to Cornhill road at Redden Farm last June.
She was travelling in a car driven by Carron Allan from Coldstream.
Allan made no plea during a brief private hearing and the case was continued for further examination.
She was released on bail by Sheriff Peter Paterson.
