Man charged in connection with wheelchair theft
A 34-year-old man has been charged after a mobility chair and a wheelchair were stolen in Hawick.
The chairs were stolen between April 6 and April 7 from the stairwell of a block of flats in Backdamgate.
Both items were recovered on April 11 and a man was charged in connection with the incident yesterday (April 18).
A police spokesperson said: "Local officers would like to thank the community for their support and assistance with the investigation.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
