OFFICERS have launched an investigation following a robbery in Galashiels.
The incident happened between 2.30pm to 3pm on Friday, April 28 on The Black Path in the town.
A 32-year-old woman was robbed of a sum of cash and her mobile phone. She was uninjured as a result of the incident.
Police Constable Steven Irvine of Galashiels Police Station said: "Since this incident was reported to us on Tuesday, May 2, we have been conducting a number of inquiries in The Black Path area.
"Anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour in The Black Path area, and additionally in Dale Street, Huddersfield Street; and the bridge behind New Look, between 2.30pm and 3pm on Friday, April 28, is asked to contact police as soon as possible."
Those with information are asked to contact Galashiels' Proactive Unit on 101, quoting incident number 1076 of May 2, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
