POLICE received information that a 36-year-old man was in possession of drugs as he travelled on a bus between Galashiels and Hawick.
Stuart Richardson, of High Street in Hawick, was detained by officers and at Hawick Police Station a wrap of heroin valued at £150 was found up a trouser leg.
The 36-year-old pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to being in possession of the class A drug on January 17.
Richardson was fined £150 which was reduced from £225 due top his guilty plea.
