BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Hawick man who admitted fracturing another man's jaw during a disturbance at a local supermarket.
Connor Jackson of Duke Street, pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to assaulting Luca Nardini by punching repeatedly to the head and body to his severe injury.
The offence happened at Morrisons in Mart Street, Hawick, on September 20.
Jackson was on bail at the time.
The 21-year-old's co-accused - a 16 year old Hawick male who cannot be named for legal reasons - also pleaded guilty to the same offence.
Sentence was deferred on both until June 12 for the production of a Criminal Justice Social Work Report.
