A SHOPLIFTER from Tweedbank has been given a final opportunity to stay out of prison at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Thirty-three-year-old Stephanie McManus of Jura Drive pleaded guilty to stealing £90 worth of head phone sets from Currys at Comely Bank retail Park in Galashiels on June 15.
She was placed on supervision for the next two years and ordered to pay £90 compensation to Currys.
Sheriff Derrick McIntyre warned McManus she faced an 18-month prison sentence if she offended again due to her record and added it was her last opportunity.
Her co-accused Emma Elliot, 29, of Forest Avenue, Galashiels, - who admitted the same offence - had sentence deferred until August 14 for background reports.
