PART of the A7 will close overnight next week for resurfacing works.
The stretch will be shut from 8pm-6am from Monday to Friday on the A7 Hartwoodburn and A699 junction near Selkirk.
During the works, which will cost around £280,000, a full signed diversion will be in place. The X95 bus route will also be affected.
Traffic intending to travel northbound on this route will be diverted to exit the A7 at North Bridge Roundabout in Hawick onto Mart Street.
Traffic will then approach Mart Street Roundabout and will take the second exit onto the A698.
Traffic will join the A68 at Bonjedward and will continue in a north westerly direction onto the A699. Traffic will reach the A7 at Selkirk where diversion will end.
Southbound traffic will follow the same diversion route but in the opposite direction.
