WAR memorials in two Borders towns have been damaged by vandals over the weekend.
A wreath at Hawick War Memorial was set alight.
And vandals spray painted graffiti over the names of soldiers who were killed in action at the War Memorial in Selkirk.
The attacks come just two weeks after thugs defaced the memorial to Marine Alec Lucas in Peebles with a swastika.
