JAMES Anderson has been accused of the fraudulent evasion of duty due on 5300 cigarettes and 43 kilos of hand rolling tobacco in Channel Street, Galashiels, between April 2016 and March 2017.
The 58-year-old of Ladhope Drive, Galashiels, denies breaching the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979.
A trial date has been set for February 1 at Selkirk Sheriff Court with an intermediate hearing on January 3.
