MELROSE sang its way into the festive spirit on Saturday.
Hundreds marched behind the town's Pipe Band for the annual Christmas Parade from St Dunstan's Lane.
And many more joined them to congregate beneath the Market Square Christmas Tree to sing a selection of traditional Carols.
Leading the musical festivities were St Boswell's Silver Band and the Langlee Community Choir.
Following several verses of We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Santa arrived down Dingleton Road.
With his reindeer safely tied up, Father Christmas took around an hour out of his busy schedule to hand out chocolate and fruit to excited youngsters inside the Corn Exchange.
The Rotary Club organisers made sure the parents well also looked after with mulled win, mince pies and shortbread.
