Car wheel thief to be sentenced in new year
A 57-year-old man has admitted removing four alloy wheels from a vehicle parked in Jedburgh and attempting to steal them.
Paul Millar pleaded guilty at Jedburgh Sheriff Court to the offence which happened in the town's Edinburgh Road on October 15.
He also admitted failing to turn up at court on November 13 without a reasonable excuse.
Sentence was deferred on Millar of Spencer Street, Carlisle, until January 22 for the production of background reports.
