RACING at Kelso on Friday has been called off due to frost and forecast snow.
Following the course inspection on Thursday morning, the '£50,000 Festive Fling' event at Kelso Racecourse, scheduled for this Friday, (December 29) has been abandoned.
In a statement, Kelso Racecourse said: "Customers who have purchased tickets using the online service will receive an automatic refund.
"Customers that have booked over the telephone will be contacted separately in order to process a refund.
"We look forward to better weather in the New Year when racing is scheduled on Sunday, January 14 and Thursday, January 25.
"In the meantime, the team at Kelso would like to wish all racegoers a Happy New Year and we fervently hope that both Musselburgh Racecourse and Ayr Racecourse have better fortune for their scheduled fixtures on January 1, 2 and 3."
