A GALASHIELS man has appeared in court after the recovery of more than £11,000 of heroin in the town.
Forty four year old Paul Hodkinson is charged with being concerned in the supply of the class A drug.
He is also accused of being in possession of cannabis.
It follows an intelligence-led search of a property in Gala Park Gardens on Wednesday when heroin worth more than £11,000 was recovered.
Police Scotland said that more than £2,000 in cash and other items of drug paraphernalia were also found in the house.
Hodkinson made no plea during a private hearing at Selkirk Sheriff Court and the case was continued for further examination.
He was released on bail by Sheriff Peter Peter Paterson.
