THE owner of a popular Cardrona cafe has hit out after falling victim to a series of thefts.
Not content with one picnic bench, it is believed the same thieves returned to steal more outside furniture, planters – and a tea pot.
Nashy’s Coffee House is a much-loved hub for bikers, walkers and locals, with many siting outside to enjoy stunning views of the countryside.
Frustrated owner Chris Nash has nailed the remaining three benches together in a bid to quash any future raids.
He said: “It’s a tragic state of affairs when you can’t even leave benches out overnight without them being stolen. I run a small business and cannot afford to replace hundreds of pounds worth of furniture.”
As well as helping themselves to picnic tables, the thieves have also stolen a children’s bench and a tea pot used for display purposes.
Chris is asking anyone with information about the thefts to contact the police.
