A GALASHIELS man has appeared in private at Selkirk Sheriff Court accused of assaulting a man to the danger of his life.
Kevin Johnston of Croft Street, is also charged with possession of a bladed article, attempting to pervert the course of justice, possession of amphetamine and a breach of bail.
The offences are alleged to have been committed in Galashiels at the weekend.
The 44-year-old made no plea and the case was continued for further examination.
Johnston was released on bail by Sheriff Euan Edmont.
