A KELSO man has been remanded in custody after being accused of carrying out two housebreakings in the town last month.
Thirty year old Mark Turnbull also faces a charge of causing malicious damage.
He made no plea during a private hearing at Jedburgh Sheriff Court and the case was continued for further examination.
Bail was refused by Sheriff Kevin Drummond and Turnbull was remanded in custody.
