A 43-YEAR-OLD man from Jedburgh has received a 12-month prison sentence at the town’s sheriff court.
Paul Hadden, who gave an address in Grieve Avenue, pleading guilty to assaulting a retail worker during the course of their employment, breaching his community payback order, theft by shoplifting and breaching his bail conditions.
Sheriff Peter Paterson imposed a six-month jail sentence for the assault on the retail worker and another six-month for the other offences.
The sentence was back-dated to October 23.
Madden is already serving a prison sentence for assaulting two retail workers in shops in Hawick and Jedburgh.
