POLICE have shared that a teenager who was reported as missing has been traced.

Officers in the Borders had been appealing for information on the whereabouts of 14-year-old Leah Turnbull who had last been seen in the Burnfoot area of Hawick on Monday morning (February 5).

Police launched an appeal this morning (Tuesday), and now officers have shared she has been found.

Sharing to social media, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are pleased to report 14-year-old Leah Turnbull missing from Hawick has been traced.

"Thank you to everyone who shared our information."
