OFFICERS have renewed an appeal for information after a flood defence wall was defaced last month.
Vandalism of the new flood defence wall at Hawick Cricket Club was reported to Police Scotland at the end of January.
The wall had a graffiti tag reading 'DREK' painted on it between 4.20pm on Tuesday, January 30 and 9.30am on Wednesday, January 31.
Officers' enquiries have confirmed that the 'DREK' tag has been found at a number of other locations in the town.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries remain ongoing and officers would urge anyone with information to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1017 of 5 February, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
