A REQUEST to light the statue of gold medal-winning 2012 Olympic showjumper Scott Brash was sent to Peebles Community Council.
The council’s April meeting was told that in the past a decision not to install lights, at the monument beside Edinburgh Road, was taken by Bonnie Peebles.
The life-size sculpture created from recycled horseshoes by artist Kevin Paxton was unveiled back in 2016.
Plans to light up the statue were first aired in 2021 but were dimmed down.
