POTS could soon replace buns on the menu in Tweedbank after a planning bid was submitted for the change of use of a bakery into a pottery studio.

Earlston-based Sue Barclay has made the application to Scottish Borders Council for the conversion of units 9 And 10 at Tweedbank Craft Centre.

A submission with the application says: “It would be a pottery workshop to make my own pottery.

“Additionally to offer classes to those who can afford to pay, in order to subsidise classes for local community groups such as learning disabilities and mental health support groups.”
