A SICKNESS and vomiting bug is continuing to cause problems at the region’s biggest hospital this week.
Ward 12 is currently closed to admissions due to the presence of Norovirus. In addition, one bay in Ward 10 remains closed.
And visitors are being strongly discouraged at this time.
A spokesperson for NHS Borders said: “The general advice is to stay away from the wards if you or anyone in your family has experienced symptoms of diarrhoea and/or vomiting in the past 48 hours. This advice applies especially to children.” But they added: “The situation is being managed by NHS Borders Infection Control Team with support from frontline colleagues in the BGH and in the community.”
