A MAJOR overnight search in Peebles at the weekend ended when a missing man was found sheltering safe and well in a farm barn on the outskirts of the town.
Concern had been raised following the disappearance of the male who was described as vulnerable.
A helicopter circulated over the town late on Friday night and Police Scotland called in the services of the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team.
Ten team members plus two search dogs were used top search local woodland areas with no result and the search was stood down at 3.30am on Saturday.
However, the missing person turned up safe and well when he was found in a barn at Whitehaugh Farm at 6am.
