FINAL entries are in and the winner of this year's I Love Gala competition has been confirmed.
Tom Kyle, from Galashiels, sent his I Love Gala bag all the way to New York, where it was seen draped on the statue of Hans Christian Andersen in Central Park. His winning entry was sent in via the I Love Gala Facebook page.
Plenty of other eye-catching pictures captured the spirit of the competition, which aimed to show Galashiels in a positive light.
The competition was the brainchild of Energise Galashiels, as they sought to promote the town ahead of the arrival of the Borders railway.
Tom was presented with his Border Reiver, at the Salmon Inn in Galashiels. On receiving his prize, Tom said that he was amazed and proud, to be the winner of the Ballantynes of Walkerburn, Border Reiver statue, which would hold pride of place in his home.
