A TOTAL of 37 new jobs have been created with the opening of a new discount department store in Galashiels.
TK Maxx will open its 31st Scottish store at Low Buckholmside next Thursday (June 1) at 9am.
The new store, which spans 1360 square-metres, allows Borders shoppers the opportunity to discover everything under one roof, with fashion and accessories for women, men and kids to beauty and homeware.
A TK Maxx spokesperson told the Border Telegraph: “We’re delighted to be opening a brand new store in Galashiels.
"We can’t wait for shoppers to walk through our doors and discover their own treasures.
"You never know what you might find! Pop by often, as there will always be exciting new designer finds and one-off gems for less every time you visit."
TK Maxx buyers travel the globe to find the hottest products from unique one-off-gems to major labels and up-and-coming designers.
The chain has been a retail success story over the past decade or so expanding to over 500 stores across the UK, Ireland, Poland, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands.
Bosses guarantee that several deliveries will arrive in Galashiels every week bringing thousands of new items to store.
