A HALLOWEEN Party reveller has been remanded in custody after admitting being involved at a disturbance in Galashiels.

At Selkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, Dean Brown pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at the Adam Purves Garage in Wilderhaugh during the early hours of Saturday morning by shouting, swearing and kicking over a sign.

The 19-year-old also admitted a second charge of resisting arrest.

Defence lawyer Mat Patrick said his client was now working as a labourer in Preston, Lancashire, and living in nearby Blackpool.

He had returned for the weekend but consumed too much alcohol at a Halloween Party.

Mr Patrick asked for Brown to be granted bail so that he would not lose his job.

However Sheriff Peter Paterson said: “You have been a nuisance to this court for the past year.” Brown was remanded in custody until November 24.
