HEROIN with a potential street value of £1950 has been seized by police in the Ladhope area of Galashiels.
The recovery was made on Saturday evening (18th July) on a public footpath.
Police revealed enquiries are ongoing to trace the persons responsible.
Local Area Commander Chief Inspector Andy McLean said: “Officers acted on vital intelligence from the community to make this recovery and will continue their investigations to find those responsible.
“We regularly utilise stop and search to identify individuals who may be in possession of illegal or illicit materials.
“We will continue to use all resources and tactics at our disposal to remove drugs and other harmful items from our communities."
