SCOUTS from around Melrose can took a well-deserved break this Christmas.

The group have just completed their tenth Christmas Post - delivering over 500 letters.

Cards could be posted at Boots the Chemist, Martin Baird Butcher and the town's Spar shop in the run up to tomorrow.

The young postmen and women delivered cards to addresses all over Melrose as well as Gattonside, Darnick and Newstead.

A total of just over £200 was raised for Scout funds.
