ANOTHER major cannabis farm has been uncovered in Selkirk - just yards from the gates of the town’s largest primary school.
Drugs Squad officers swooped on the former store at the junction of Curror Street and Bleachfield Road yesterday (Monday) morning after obtaining a search warrant from the local court.
They also carried out a search of a nearby former church hall.
Around 500 plants were recovered during the operation as well items involved in the cultivation of the drug.
This latest haul comes almost exactly a year after Scotland’s largest ever cannabis farm was discovered in the former Queen’s Head pub in Selkirk’s West Port.
