THE Scottish Borders Primary Badminton team travelled to Ravenscraig Regional Sports Centre at Motherwell earlier this month to play in the SSBU Primary Inter-Area Tournament.
The young Borders team finished seventh out of nine teams.
The team was unlucky not to finish sixth when they narrowly lost 3-2 to Fife in the deciding mixed doubles game.
Edinburgh won the tournament with Mid & East Lothian runners up and Lanarkshire in third place.
Dave Burns and Harry Turnbull would like to thank David Rhind for his help and support at this event.
Thanks also to all the parents who turned up to watch and voice their support.
Well done to all the players for all their hard work and effort during the tournament. Once again the behaviour of the players both on and off the court was superb. Well done everyone.
Border s Primary Team: Jessica Mitchell (Peebles), Gemma Fullerton (Gordon), Nairne Wells (West Linton), Charlotte Kimm (Kelso) & Sophie Skeet (Jedburgh). Kieran Burns (Duns), Finlay Rhind (Duns), Duncan Crowe (St. Abbs), Mathew Domingo (Jedburgh) & Charlie Worrall (Coldingham).
