GOLF bosses near Ashkirk are driving ahead with further improvements to the Woll in a bid to make it the best in the Borders.
The Woll golf course at New Woll Estate has been making a name for itself over the last few years with redevelopment expansion to create a popular 18 hole golf course.
Now the owners, the Brown family, are making another large investment for the future of the course by developing more of the greens and their surrounds this winter.
Although work is ongoing, the course remains playable throughout the winter.
Company director Nicholas Brown said: "We are always trying to improve the course and this development is part of a longer term plan to become the best and most popular course in the Scottish Borders.
"The development sees the redesign and reshaping of a number of holes."
Recent improvements at the Woll has seen membership continually increase year on year.
And visitor numbers also improve annually.
Mr Brown added: "We have a very experienced and well qualified team headed up by Shane Ringwood construction with Shane himself the international shaper and our own head greenkeeper Tommy Yeomans."
