MORE than 100 players enjoyed last week's Festive Family Fun Day at Tweedbank.
Organised and hosted by Borders Hockey Development, a total of 12 teams took part.
With blue skies and sun overhead it was the perfect opportunity for players of all ages and stages to run off some of the Christmas pudding and mince pies.
Most players either donned seasonal fancy dress outfits or their favourite Christmas jumper.
The six- a-side matches were all played in the spirit intended, with lots of enthusiasm and healthy competition, lots of laughs, banter and memories made.
But there can only be one winner.
The Pitman Trophy was awarded to the Bell/Hulmes for demonstrating great teamwork, support and sportsmanship.
Borders Hockey Development officer Janet Jack told us: "A huge thank you to all the participants, spectators and volunteers who came along to support the event both on and off the field.
"A special thanks to the soup and sandwich makers and to Gordon Newlands for the fantastic photos.
"We are already looking forward to next year!"
