GALA Fairydean Rovers are back in Challenge Cup action tonight (Friday August 18) against Tynecastle at Meggetland in Edinburgh. (kick off 7.30pm)
Tynecastle go into the game on the back of a 9-0 victory over Penicuik Athletic whilst Gala hope to bounce back from a heavy defeat to East Kilbride at Netherdale on Saturday.

Gala manager Martin Scott said: “East Kilbride were very good and are like a full time team. We tried to be brave but, in the end, their overall quality told. They are a good well-run club with the right people in charge.
“Getting an early goal steadied them but it was a tough one for us to take and we will learn from it.

“This is a good league and there will be plenty twists and turns, but East Kilbride showed why many consider them favourites.”
Scott’s men are back in Lowland League action on Tuesday night away to Linlithgow Rose.
