GALASHIELS goalkeeper Gregor Amos has landed a one-year contract with Lowland League champions Edinburgh City.
The 20-year-old was released by Falkirk in the summer following three seasons with the Bairns.
After a stint as a trialist at Meadowbank, City gaffer Gary Jardine tabled a one-year offer.
Gregor told us: “I’m loving it at City - it is a really well run club and they play a good standard of football.
“This is a team that knows how to win leagues and they have a great manager in Gary Jardine.
“It’s early in the season but I know I’m going to enjoy my time here.” Amos has been instantly promoted to the number one jersey ahead of last season’s regular keeper, Andrew Stobie.
And following a winning start to the league, hopes are high that City can yet again reach the pyramid play-offs.
Gregor added: “I’ve started all of our league and cup games so far and I’ve done well.
“As long as I’m making the saves I should be in the team each week.”
