Chairman Kevin Temple reflected on a “whirlwind” 12 months for the club but said matters had progressed in a structured and controlled manner.

He pointed out that since the amalgamation of Gala Fairydean FC and Gala Rovers AFC, income, sponsorship, attendances, lottery sales, bar receipts and Premier Club membership were all up.

Mr Temple said that while entering the Lowland League had been an eye-opener for everyone at the club, he expressed satisfaction that the standard of football had improved and the team had competed well.

He said that the club was on a steady footing with plans to integrate more into the community, youth development extended and to strive for SFA Bronze Licence Status In his annual report secretary Graeme McIver said that despite the understandable scepticism of some, he believed it had been conclusively proven that the decision to merge the two clubs was the correct one.
