Olympian returns to school in Galashiels to inspire next generation of sports stars

FORMER Olympian Ian Stark presented the medals at the school sports in Langlee.

The equestrian star, who grew up in Galashiels, was presented with a special medal to mark the time he spent as a young boy at the local primary school.

He went on to become a top level rider, winning four Olympic silver medals, one gold and two silver medals at the World Championships and seven gold, one silver and one bronze at the European Championships.
