In the final the outcome was always in doubt even although Chirnside took the first two points with wins from Jamie Mitchell over Kenny Johnstone and Tiger Mitchell over Keith Campbell. Abbotsford hit back with Tommy Newall defeating Gavin Douglas but Chirnside obtained the crucial third point when Robert Paterson won against Andrew Hancock to become the first winners of the Top 5 competition.
