GALA A were toppled from the top of Reserve National 1 at Old Anniesland on Saturday by Glasgow Hawks A in what was a tight game except for a slack ten minutes midway in the second half when they leaked three tries.
It was nip and tuck in the first half with Gala just trailing by four points at the break.
Dean Keddie’s boot kept Gala ticking along with two penalties and a conversion of a try from Frankie Robson.
Hawks ,however, scored 17 points of their own to lead 17—13 at the half time whistle.
A try by Ross Livingston put Gala in front early in the second half before Gala took their foot off the gas and Hawks ran in three tries before Gala knew what had hit them and the home side were out of sight.
Gala hit back with a try and conversion from Dean Keddie but it was all to late and Hawks scored another try near the end for a convincing win.
Man-of-the-Match for Gala was Gary Adams for the second time in three games.
This week Gala entertain Ayr at Netherdale in a double header with the firsts.
