It had been unclear whether the club’s top try scorer would stay at the club next season. At 38-years-old, it had been thought he may consider hanging up his boots.
However, the announcement this week is sure to be welcomed by Head Coach George Graham after his side narrowly missed out on being crowned Scottish club champions for the first time in 31 years.
Palepoi, who is expected to feature in Gala’s Border League Cup final clash with Melrose at Berwick next week, told the Border Telegraph: “I think I’ve still got a lot to offer. I’ll go again next year and see if they still need me the following year, if not that’s me finished.” But he added: “I am definitely playing on for next season, I’ve already told George that and I’m looking forward to it.”
