THE pinnacle match of BT Cup Finals Day will be streamed live on Saturday (18 April), on Scottish Rugby TV's YouTube channel.

The BT Cup will be contested between Hawick and Boroughmuir, who are both looking to take home the prestigious silverware for the first time in over a decade.

The show will begin at 5.35pm with the unmistakable voice of the BBC's Bill Johnstone and Scotland's all time cap and points record holder, Chris Paterson, taking the mic to provide live commentary.

The BT Cup final kicks off at 5.45pm.

Scottish Rugby's Head of Club Services Nick Rennie said: "It's great that we can provide live coverage of the BT Cup final for a second year running.

"The match is set up to be a brilliant encounter between these two BT Premiership teams, who haven't taken home this piece of silverware for a long time.

"We are expecting a big crowd on Saturday, with tickets still available, but for those who can't make it along to BT Murrayfield, or want to watch the match back at a later time, I'm pleased we can provide this service.

"This is particularly good for fans that are overseas, who will be able to cheer on their team from wherever they are in the world.” On the day, six finals will be played at BT Murrayfield.

As well as the BT Cup final, another two men's matches will take place on the main pitch with Alloa and Cumnock kicking the day into action at 11am as they compete for the BT Bowl, before GHK and St Boswells go head-to-head for the BT Shield at 1.15pm.

The Sarah Beaney Cup will see the country's best two women's teams compete for silverware at 3.30pm, on the international pitch, with Murrayfield Wanderers out to defend their title against Hillhead/Jordanhill.

On the back pitches Ayr will play Stewartry in the BT Women's Plate, while Watsonians and Morgan Academy will face-off in the BT Women's Bowl, both these matches kick-off at 12 noon.

Scottish Rugby TV will also provide a highlights package of the remaining five finals.

Rennie continued: "BT Cup Finals Day is one of the highlights in Scottish Rugby's domestic calendar, with supporters from all over the country coming to the national stadium to cheer on their local side.

"We encourage anyone considering coming along to snap up their tickets and get involved with this exciting celebration of rugby.” To buy tickets please get in touch with one of the competing clubs or visit www.scottishrugby.org/tournaments-events/bt-cup-finals-day.
