A TEENAGER who was riding a motorcycle dangerously in Greenlaw has been banned from the road for 12 months at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
The 17-year-old male – who cannot be named for legal reasons – pleaded guilty to performing "wheelies" by riding the bike on one wheel on the pavement and at excessive speed in Marchmont Road on October 10.
The provisional licence holder was filmed by residents riding the scrambler bike in a dangerous manner.
Defence lawyer Mat Patrick accepted it was "stupid behaviour".
The teenager was disqualified from driving for 12 months and was fined £300 with a £20 victim surcharge.
