FARMFOODS will open their new store at Unit 3 Low Buckholmside Industrial Area, Galashiels this week.

The frozen food company have operated from the town’s Bridge Street for more than 20-years.

However the company’s business model evolved to a format that the Bridge Street premises was not able to support due to its small size, the physical constraints upon extending the building, and lack of parking.

In July Halfords confirmed its only Borders branch would close in September and Farmfoods were granted permission to take over the premises next to Sports Direct and TKMaxx.

The shop is set to open at 8am on Friday December 15.

Farmfoods are now encouraging customers to sign up for offers and discounts.
